Damascus, (SANA)- Assistant Iranian Minister of Industry Mohsen Shater-Zadeh said the volume of Iranian industrial investments in Syria amounted to USD 950 million in the shape of contracts governments with the Syrian government. Mr. Shater-Zadeh told SANA Economic bulletin in a statement on Monday that among these investments were Siamco Car Factory, Sivico Cement Factory whose production capacity totaled almost 1,1 million tons and the Glass factory which is totally being carried out and funded by Iranian businessmen.He added his country aspired to raise its industrial investments in Syria to USD 10 billions over the next ten years with the participation of the public and private sectors of both countries.The Iranian official called on Syrian businessmen and investors to invest in Iran, describing as strategic the relations between Syria and Iran.Iranian total investments in Syria amount to nearly USD 1,5 billion
